El’ Barak is a powerhouse vocalist and seasoned entertainer whose career bridges genres of soul, R&B, JAZZ , pop, and live performance excellence. Known for his commanding voice,  powerful vocal range, magnetic stage presence, and deep musicality, he has become a mainstay in Philadelphia’s music scene

 

— and now steps forward as a fully realized independent artist.

While his earliest training came under the guidance of Miss Velma Simmons in West Philadelphia High School’s concert choir, El’s true education has been life itself. He chose family over fame in his early years, putting his dreams on hold to raise his children and work corporate roles — all while staying rooted in music.

Throughout the years, El honed his craft as a dynamic frontman for high-end events across the tri-state area. In 2008, he launched Ascension Entertainment Group LLC , NOW ASCENSION ARTISTRY LLC, and formed his own elite party band, CARNIVÁLE, setting a new standard in live entertainment.

Offstage, El has recorded with music icons including LL Cool J, Jazzy Jeff, JAMALADEEN TACUMA, TONY 'TNT' JONES, and shared stages with legends like Norman Connors, DEXTER WANSEL, Jean Carne, JAMES INGRAM, Tito Jackson, Cameo, Bootsy Collins, and more. In 2020, he captivated an international audience with his NOTEWORTHY Marvin Gaye tribute on the SOUL TRAIN Cruise.

Today, El’Barak emerges with SOULAR RETURN, his original soul collective, delivering fresh, message-driven music that speaks directly to the human experience. His debut single, “IT’S OK,” is a heartfelt anthem of healing and hope — performed in his own voice, with his own sound, in his own time.
